Happy 2012!

I don't want anyone to think that I've gone MIA.  The unfortunate side effect of being a natural light photographer in Oklahoma and not having a studio is that the winter months are not usually that busy.  The trees are all bare, the grass is brown, let's just say it's not very pretty outside right now.  My goal for next winter is to be able to buy a few studio props (lighting, backdrops, etc...) so that I can have the option of having sessions in my house.

I've used this down time to redesign my logo, start a website and order some marketing materials.  Check out my website and let me know what you think - www.tracycalhoun.com.  Everything should start blooming around here in March, so I'm looking forward to getting my calendar booked for the spring!  Until then, here is a picture of the other project that I'm working on right now.  Arrival is expected in June 2012!

I've had a couple of last minute photo sessions scheduled this week and here is a sneak peek at the first one.  Aren't these kids simply adorable?!  They were so much fun to work with!

Unless I have a last minute booking, this was my last professional session for the fall.  I'm a little sad because I have had so much fun photographing all of these lovely families, but I'm also looking forward to relaxing with my own family for the holidays.  I couldn't have asked for a better family to finish out my first season!  I've known this little boy and his momma since he was 8 months old.

This family was so much fun to work with!  We practically got blown away from strong, northerly winds, but that didn't stop us from having a good time.  Thank you A family for letting me drag you around downtown in the blustery wind!

I'm friends with the mother of these adorable children and we have been trying to set a date for pictures for the past month.  We finally found a time that worked for both of us and it turned out to be the coldest day in Tulsa this fall!  The kids were troopers!
